Retford Cricket Club has announced the launch of its campaign of support for club captain Paul Singleton, who recently suffered the loss of both legs following a case of blood poisoning.
The news of Paul’s illness to both the club and the local sporting community has been greeted with a mixture of shock, sadness and disbelief.
The club is holding a series of three events this summer to raise financial support for Paul and his family, which includes his son Nathan who plays for the Club’s First X1.
Sunday 30th June will see an annual sponsored walk at Retford Cricket Ground from 2pm and additional walkers are encouraged to register.
To find out more and to sponsor club secretary and fundraising chairman Chris Hall to walk 30 laps of the ground email chris.hall21@btopenworld.com or call 07808 716 779.
