DRIVERS are being warned to take extra care on the icy roads after a series of accidents this morning (Thursday 6th December).
At around 6am two accidents happened along the same stretch of road in Worksop.
The first was on the Retford Road roundabout near Bannatyne’s gym where a car skidded into a bollard. No-one was injured.
Then shortly afterwards a car crashed into the back of another car near the entrance to the B&Q depot on Retford Road.
Some of the occupants were taken to hospital by ambulance.
A spokesman for Notts Fire and Rescue said people should take extra care on the roads while the weather is cold.
Temperatures are not expected to rise far above freezing today.
