FORMER Worksop Guardian editor George Robinson has died, aged 57.
The ‘larger-than-life’ character, who edited the Guardian for nearly 18 years, passed away at Bassetlaw Hospital on Boxing Day after being taken ill only hours earlier.
George, from Walesby, had taken early retirement from the newspaper in June 2010 and had since being running an antique toy business with his wife, Karen.
